The Chicago Blackhawks reach a major agreement with a broadcasting company
Chicago Black Hawks fans should rejoice, as they will have multiple ways to enjoy the team through HD TV, and on-air over the radio.
The team, along with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox have reached an agreement Monday with the Chicago Sports Network to televise and broadcast games on the radio.
Blackhawks games will be aired on Millenial Communication's WJYS TV, and on CHSN's 62.2 and 62.3, and will convert to HD on October 1st.
"Fan-first has been our north star," said Jason Coyle, Chicago Sports Network president. "We are making our content available on the platforms that our fans can watch. For those households who, for whatever reason, choose over-the-air as their primary viewing platform, they now have an opportunity to see the games and build even stronger connections with the teams and personalities they love.
CHSN mentions that you will need an antenna to view the games on 62.2 and 62.3. If you already have one, a full scan of channels will be required to view programming.
The network will feature programming that will include select pre-season games, regular season games, and extensive coverage of the playoffs for the Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox.
