The Chicago Blackhawks put forward Zach Sanford on waivers, while the San Jose Sharks did the same with defenseman Jacob MacDonald.
Sanford, 29, was previously picked up by the Blackhawks this season from the Arizona Coyotes.
Since joining, he has three assists in 15 games. Teams needing more depth in forwards might grab him as he's got NHL experience and a low salary.
MacDonald, 28, scored six goals in 22 games this season for the Sharks. Despite not having many points, teams might still pick him up because of his low salary.
