Nick Foligno makes a surprising gesture to Bedard and others at practice that proves his captaincy role
Newly Announced Captain Nick Foligno Shows Leadership with Simple Gesture at Practice
Newly announced Chicago Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno is already proving why he's the perfect fit for the role.
As practice wrapped up on Friday morning, Foligno went around the circle, giving each teammate a tap, which is deemed something little to most, but proves that it's just a start to a strong season from the locker room leadership.
Foligno, alongside Seth Jones and Connor Murphy were given captaincy roles, announced on Thursday by general manager Kyle Davidson and the Blackhawks.
Foligno signalled to the Blackhawks' 2024 sixth-round pick Ty Henry to lead the final stretch. Foligno understands mentoring the youth, and it shows.
