The Detroit Red Wings might be light on the roster when they arrive in Chicago tomorrow.

As line rushes during practice have been released, and unfortunately, it looks as if Patrick Kane wasn't available to skate today.

While Kane is projected on DailyFaceOff to slot in on the right wing of Vladimir Tarasenko, and J.T. Compher.

During practice, J.T. Compher would be flanked on the wings by Vladimir Tarasenko on the right, and Red Wings Rookie Jonatan Berggren.

This could be unfortunate news for the Red Wings who desperately need someone like Patrick Kane to push what would be a Wild Card roster, into the playoffs.

Steve Yzerman banked on himself and a former Blackhawk, Alex DeBrincat to give the offense a spark, which is what they've lacked other than wingers like Lucas Raymond and Dylan Larkin could deliver to the team.

Looking at reviews of Traverse City training camp, when the Wings were split into two teams, Kane was a part of the best team on-ice competing against his teammates.

He seemed to be in "Showtime" form. But did something happen in the game against the Blackhawks where the Wings would win, 4-2?

Kane wouldn't slot into the lineup against his former team in Chicago, will he play tonight?

Or is he still suffering from the residual effects of the hip-resurfacing surgery which isn't a 100% cure-all for those who have gone through it?

We can only hope it's maintenance days for Kane.

It was the final event of the team's time in Traverse City. The format of the game is not the usual three periods of 20-minute five-on-five hockey. Each period is formatted differently to give all the players a chance to show what they can do in different situations. From what I could tell the Red Team was made up from Team Howe and the White Team was made up from Team Delvecchio. Even though I feel like they try to split the squad up evenly based on talent, the Red Team seemed to have an edge since they had Alex DeBrincat, Dylan Larkin, Patrick Kane, and Lucas Raymond.
