Team Finland Make Surprise Lineup Change And Bench Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen
Team Canada and Team Finland play today and it's a huge game. They're both at two points each in the Four Nations Face-Off and whoever wins today, if it's in regulation, may stamp their spot in the Four Nations Championship game on Thursday against the United States.
Finland will bring back Joel Armiareplacing Teuvo Teravainen
Teuvo Teravainen hasn't been too noticeable out on the ice for Finland as people thought him to be, but he definitely hasn't been a problem.
Teravinen has no points through the two games against the USA and Sweden.
Teravainen will look to continue a good season with Chicago as he has 12 goals and 28 assists on the year adding up to 40 points in 55 games.
Teravainen has scored most of his goals on the Blackhawks power play this season and has really been a valuable asset to the power play that has taken a step up recently.
After the physical game between the Americans and the Canadians, the Finnish may be looking to add a little grit and their own physical side to the game, which is why they threw Joel Armia into the lineup.
Armia is 6-foot-4, 213 pounds but isn't afraid to pack a punch or lay a check.
Armia has ten goals and 24 points through 56 games, so he isn't too flashy point-wie.
This move has made hockey fans scratch their head, especially since they're making this move after an overtime victory against the Swedish.
Hopefully for Finland this move works out because they need to win if they want a chance to play on Thursday, and maybe a little extra grit with Armia is all they need.
