The Blackhawks call for a press conference after three players are missing at practice
The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday, and are now preparing for their next game against the red hot Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday; without three key members of the roster?
The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off a tough 4-3 loss against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday, when Canes forward
Sebastian Aho would net the game-winning goal just 59 seconds into the overtime period.
Now, the Blackhawks are preparing for their next face-off against another contending team, and it's the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Three key players missing at Blackhawks practice
When the Blackhawks morning skate took place, reporters surrounding the organization was caught off guard when three key players were missing from the ice.
Due to the three being absent, Blackhawks head coach Anders Sorensen held a press conference following the completion of practice to address the 3 players missing.
Teuvo Teravainen and Alec Martinez are both taking a day off due to 'maintenance' being needed, meaning rest is much needed.
Jason Dickinson is undergoing an illness, but many believe the Blackhawks may be covering up an injury suffered on January 20th in their game against the Carolina Hurricanes, where Dickinson would leave the game following a shot-block up high.
Blackhawks fans are not used to transparency as former head coach, Luke Richardson, would tend to keep quiet to the media on things going on behind the scene.
With Anders Sorensen behind the bench and addressing the media, we can only hope his statements are trustworthy as he's making an attempt to gain trust from the Chicago media.
