The organization reveals Frank Nazar's date of arrival to the Chicago Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks desperately need help down the middle. They have Nick Foligno as a makeshift Center in the Blackhawks lineup. This isn't the best solution, as the Hawks lack a good 1-2-3 punch, unlike a team like the Winnipeg Jets.
Where is the 2nd line center for the Blackhawks? Right now, he's in Rockford playing in the AHL.
We're referring toFrank Nazar, who is currently on a tear in the minors. He's been a point-per-game player in the AHL.
With 7 points(3 G, 4 A) in 7 games, Nazar has shown he's got the mojo we saw in the NHL last season.
Let's reference his scouting reports:
Mike - Morreale - June 29th: "Nazar is a smart, skilled right-shot forward who plays with energy to be first on pucks and can play big minutes on the power play and penalty kill."
Nazar is a future superstar in the NHL, if he continues his trajectory and skilled two-way play.
When should we see him in the NHL? Don't take our word for it, but Kyle Davidson's:
Davidson sent Nazar and defenseman Kevin Korchinski to Rockford to start the season because he thinks they'll benefit from the AHL seasoning, but he clarified they won't necessarily spend the entire season there if they keep playing well.
«Ideally, they have to earn their way [to the NHL roster],» Davidson said. «But there's definitely opportunity to get some time in the second half if they continue on the path they're on. It's very advantageous for them to get that [NHL experience], especially if they've earned it.» While the IceHogs have an ugly 3-4-0 record in the AHL, Nazar has been a bright spot in Rockford.
Can he be the next elite center for the Hawks? He's waiting in the wings for a promotion.
