NHL affiliated reporter fired from job after 'disgraceful' reporting of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau's death
A media outlet credentialed with the Philadelphia Flyers, well-known as 'Flyers Nitty Gritty', parts ways with a reporter who broke the story of Johnny Gaudreau's passing.
According to Flyers Nitty Gritty's social media platforms, they are a credentialed media outlet for the Flyers, Phantoms, Royals and Delaware Thunder- lead by Jamey Baskow, a well-known and respect reporter in the NHL.
A former 'reporter and journalist' from their outlet, Dylan Robillard, has reportedly been let go following his report on the passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
Robillard reported the tragic news, which many believe was way to early, and believed that he hoped to 'be the first one on the news'.
The reporter, Robillard, deleted the tweet, as shown below:
He has since responded with the following statement on his termination from NHL affiliated Flyers Nitty Gritty:
Fellow NHL reporters, such as one from the Buffalo Sabres, commented on what had been done by Robillard, including 'disgraceful' in his message:
While there are underlying circumstances following along this tragedy, we must keep the Gaudreau family close, and in our thoughts and prayers.
