It appears that Detroit Red Wings fans have seen enough and have begun giving up on former Blackhawks superstar Patrick Kane.
Fans took to the X platform and voiced their anger and disappointment on how Kane has been playing this season especially over the last 12 games.
Many across the NHL and the fan base were curious to know how Kane would respond after undergoing extensive hip surgery last season which appeared to heal well and allow him to played 50 games.
After spending the first half of the season on the mend and deciding which team he would sign with he chose the Red Wings and helped the team nearly make the playoffs on game 82.
This season has been a complete disaster for Kane as he looks like a shadow of himself and has not been a factor hardly at all with three goals in 24 games.
He has also potted in seven assists to give him 10 points and is a brutal -8. This is a far cry from last season as he scored twenty goals with 27 assists for 47 points and was a - 5 with 16 penalty minutes.
It begs the question has father time To the 36 year old winger and perhaps has lost his step in the league as the Detroit Red Wings are a young club. Red Wings General Manager Steve Yzerman chose to give a one year $4 million deal to Kane as he was reluctant to give him longer term due to his age and his injury history.
It remains to be seen on how well he will fare over the remaining games of the season but it's safe to say questions will be raised and his performance may prevent him from going to a contender as teams will not commit their dollars to a player who is clearly in the twilight of his career.
