Patrick Kane returns to Chicago!
Although Patrick Kane is no longer a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, we are always thrilled to see him when he comes to town.
After undergoing hip surgery, he joined the Detroit Red Wings and has played 20 games with the original six franchise so far.
In those games, he has scored 7 goals and made 10 assists for a total of 17 points, almost a point per game pace.
It appears that the surgery has done its job and while Kane might not be the same player he was in his prime, he is still a great player.
He will be returning to the United Center in late February as he and the Red Wings take on the Blackhawks. Kane will always be a legendary figure in Chicago sports, especially as part of the Blackhawks dynasty.
With the Blackhawks currently in a rebuild, the youngsters will have the opportunity to take on a legend and hope to overcome the odds to beat one of the better teams in the Atlantic Division.
The Red Wings and Patrick Kane are currently 4th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 27-18-6.
While the Blackhawks have a lot of work to do, they should aim to upset the Wings while they're in town in the spirit of good competition.
