Edmonton Oilers submit claim to the NHL involving a disgraced player
Edmonton Oilers reportedly file complaint on Vancouver Canucks fans to the NHL
The Edmonton Oilers had enough of fans bothering certain players in the penalty box when they faced the Vancouver Canucks in the second round of the playoffs.
The Oilers reportedly filed a complaint with the NHL regarding 'The Green Men' who have been around since 2012, making many fans smile- but did they take things too far this time?
The DailyHive has reported that this sign shown below may have been the breaking point for the Oilers to file a complaint to the NHL:
"We were told the Edmonton Oilers complained to the NHL in the last round about the Green Men because the Green Men had an Evander Kane sign about gambling. The Green Men were then told you couldn't go to any more games in Round 2, maybe in Round 3." Although the entire internet is aware of Evander Kane's off-ice situations, throwing it in players faces while in the midst of a battle to win the Stanley Cup may have not been the right place to do it.
