Rangers forward Artemi Panarin issues surprise statement before game 1
Wednesday May 22nd marks game one of a best of four series between the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers, analyst are stating this will 'be the best hockey fans have witnessed throughout the 2024 NHL playoffs', and many are excited for it to kick off.
Prior to game 1 puck drop, Rangers' Artemi Panarin issued a surprise statement to his opponent, more specifically one of the best goaltenders of the NHL playoffs.
He's my best friend in hockey. First of all, he's an unbelievable guy, a great human. We can talk about everything all day and we can say anything to each other. Some people you're just like, 'Hey,' and you have two things you can talk about, but with him we can talk about good things, not good things, and it doesn't matter. It's a very honest relationship, I would say.
Both Panarin and Bobrovsky have played with each other as teammates in prior years with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and both have paved their organizations way to the third round of the 2024 playoffs with their impressive performances.
Puck drop is tonight at 8PM Eastern, who will come out as winners in this series?
