Stan Bowman leaves fans furious after first move as Oilers general manager

The St Louis Blues went at the Edmonton Oilers' throats today, as they tendered offer sheets to two of their young stars this morning.
According to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, the Blues tendered qualifying offers to both defenseman Philip Broberg and forward Dylan Holloway.

Edmonton has 7 days to match the offers.
Seravalli followed that by saying that Broberg's contract is worth two years at $4.5 million and Holloway's is two years at 2.2 million.

Philip Broberg: 2 years x $4,580,917
Dylan Holloway: 2 years x $2,290,457
Compensation due is a third-round pick for Holloway and a second-round pick for Broberg.
One dollar more on AAV for each player would have bumped up compensation.
It'll be interesting to see how Stan Bowman will respond to this. Bowman is known for his slip ups in Chicago, so we'll see if he wants to perform any cap gymnastics and tear the team apart even more, or if he just lets it go. Either way, don't expect much from Bowman.
No matter what Bowman does, he only has seven days to respond.
