Top NHL prospect just leaked the Chicago Blackhawks' 18th overall selection
Michael Brandsegg-Nygard is expected to be a 1st round selection in the 2024 NHL entry draft.
He made a name for himself at the IIHF World Championships, playing against some of the best talent in the world.
And apparently, he's struck a nerve as GM Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks have been attached to Nygard, as they regularly keep in contact with the winger.
Top 2024 NHL Draft Prospect, Michael Brandsegg-Nygrd says that one of the teams he's spoken to the most are the Chicago #Blackhawks
"I mean, it's really cool and a really great experience for me," Brandsegg-Nygard said. "It's really exciting to play against those guys you've seen on the TV a lot and guys you have looked up to for your whole life.
"I really do learn a lot because when I watch those players from Canada, for example, or (Norway teammate) Mats Zuccarello, who plays in the NHL, I'm trying to learn as much as possible because he is a really good player. I like his style of hockey and maybe I try to put some of his skills into my game, too." He has verifiable experience with legitimate NHL players, and has also received mentorship at one of the highest-levels of the game, the international level.
The Norway native also has had experience playing in the Nordic leagues, playing 41 games with Mora IK, scoring 18 points( 8 G, 10 A) in the second-tier league in Sweden.
And representing Team Norge in the IIHF World Championships, would play 5 games, scoring 5 points( 3 G, 2 A) as a point-per-game player.
There's likely a great reason why Kyle Davidson and the Hawks are in contact with the Winger.
Is there a chance Davidson trades up to acquire him?
They're gonna trade up for him. I just know it
