The skillful winger is best renowned for his goal-scoring ability, not his aggression on the ice.
However, he attempted to change that today, presumably deciding to attack Ian Cole, a Canucks defenseman.
Cole was twice DeBrincat's size in an ill-advised match-up, and the winger attempted to fight hard.

He'd use Cole's shirt against him at first, throwing small jabs that didn't appear to work.
Cole would then use his stature to overwhelm DeBrincat and manhandle him, delivering many punches, including a good uppercut, and demonstrating to the winger.
Although DeBrincat is deserving of admiration for his on-ice self-defense and team spirit, Cole ultimately fed him with his fists like if it were lunch.
If DeBrincat wants to make it through the upcoming heavyweight match, he ought to think about hiring Adonis Creed.
