Breaking: A New Low For The Detroit Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings have appeared to be turning things around recently thanks to Alex DeBrincat, Dylan Larkin, and Patrick Kane.
However, all of it seems futile as a major injury has struck the team.
Specifically, Captain Dylan Larkin will be out for two weeks with a lower-body injury, which is unwelcome news for a successful team.
A minor penalty forced the team's All-Star center to leave the game against the Florida Panthers on Saturday.
He left the ice at 9:57 of the third period for unsportsmanlike conduct.
He leads the team in goals this season with 26 and points with 54 in 55 games.
He is also the forward who averages the most ice time on the team, with 19:52.
In 639 games, Larkin has 491 points, 205 goals, and 286 assists. He was drafted 15th overall in 2014.
With a record of 33-22-6, the Red Wings hold the 1st Wildcard Spot in the Eastern Conference and have not made the playoffs since 2015-2016.
