The Blackhawks have been having a tough time since All-Star Connor Bedard got hurt.
But there's some good news: Bedard, the top draft pick, is seeing the doctor next week. If everything looks okay, he'll be back on the ice soon without the special jersey, according to head coach Luke Richardson.
Bedard got hurt on January 5th against the Devils when Brendan Smith hit him in the jaw. He had surgery and was told to sit out for 6-8 weeks, but he's been on the ice any chance he's gotten since, including the NHL All-Star game that he participated in one of the skills challenges.
Without Bedard, the team's offense has been struggling and it's shown throughout being the most shutout team in the NHL this season.
It seems like Bedard will be back in action on February 21st against the Flyers or on the 23rd against the Jets.
