13 Players Left The Blackhawks This Season: Full List..
The Chicago Blackhawks have had a interesting start to the off-season to say the least, from the announcement of a rebuild coming, to trade young forward Kirby Dach and a 25 year old Alex DeBrincat: fans don't really know what to think. It may be hectic to keep up with during free agency, so us at Blackhawks Nation have came up with a list to do so:
DeBrincat was traded to the Ottawa Senators.
Dach was traded to the Montreal Canadiens at the NHL entry draft.
Lankinen was not given a offer from Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson and was instantly signed by the Nashville Predators.
Kubalik was not given a qualifying offer from Kyle Davidson and was quickly signed by the Detroit Red Wings.
Strome was not given a qualifying offer and was quickly signed by the Washington Capitals.
Borgstrom was not given a qualifying offer and signed with Dylan Strome in Washington with the Capitals team.
Gustafsson did not receive a qualifying offer from Chicago and signed in Washington.
De Haan did not receive a qualifying offer and became a free agent.
Wyatt Kalynuk (prospect):
Despite the Blackhawks taking play in the rebuild moving forward, the Blackhawks did not offer a qualifying contract to the youngster and he signed a deal with the Vancouver Canucks.
Delia spent years in the AHL system and was believed to be making the jump to Chicagos backup goaltending role for the upcoming season, sadly he did not receive a offer from Chicago and signed elsewhere.
Fan favorite minor league tough guy did not receive a contract offer and hits free agency.
Shaw spent his time on long-term injury reserve for the remainder of his contract, despite him being officially retired- it is now officially official as his contract is over and he is not on any payroll.
Multiple other prospects did not receive qualifying offers as well, but no notable players to be named.
