The Chicago Blackhawks Release Official Statement Regarding Eddie Olczyk's Departure
The Chicago Blackhawks are currently in shambles and are losing fans by the second with there recent announcement of not coming to contract terms with broadcaster of 16 straight years, Eddie Olczyk. Olczyk also spent 5 years with the Chicago Blackhawks when he was playing in the National Hockey League, and will forever have a heart for the Blackhawks organization.
The Chicago Blackhawks have released the official statement regarding Eddie's departure:
For 16 seasons, we were fortunate to have legendary broadcaster Eddie Olczyk bring
Chicago Blackhawks hockey into the homes of our fans. We are going to miss him as
much as our fans will. Though we are disappointed to learn today that he has decided to
go in another direction, Eddie will always be part of the Blackhawks family.
We appreciate his many contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.
