Alex Ovechkin has shown zero signs of slowing down, despite being 36 years of age. Ovechkin is coming off a 90-point season, his fifth best out of his seventeen NHL seasons underneath his belt and also his BEST SEASON in nearly thirteen years, since his 2009-2010 109 point season.

Ovechkin is currently sitting at 780 goals scored throughout his career, just 114 goals away from surpassing the great ones, Wayne Gretzky's all-time goal scoring record. Will Ovechkin do it? Will Ovechkin even be around in the NHL within thee upcoming years? This week, Ovechkin answered all the questions.

Alex Ovechkin revealed he will be playing five more years in the NHL until he hits the age of 41, well at least he would like to he stated. He also revealed why he would like to play for five more years, and that is to attempt to catch Gretzky's all-time goal record of 894 goals scored, Ovechkin just sitting 114 goals off it it and at the pace he is at, he can expect to hit it within three more years.
