BREAKING - Blackhawks Announce a Trade and Several Roster Moves at The Same Time
After being traded to the Blackhawks 10 days ago, defenceman Nikita Zaitsev has finally made it through immigration and joined his new team, along with IceHog Anders Bjork.
The Blackhawks who have been sent back down to Rockford (Seney, Gust, and Phillips) are now eligible for AHL playoffs.
Zaitsev will be wearing number 22, and is already on the ice for practice.
Injured players Entwistle (wrist) and Reese Johnson (concussion) are also at practice, though Reese is in a non-contact jersey. Colin Blackwell (groin) is absent.
With a multitude of our top players traded or out for injury, the lines at practice are looking great - for winning that draft lottery.
So far this season, the 31 year old Zaitsev has played 28 games and has 5 assists. The 26 year old Bjork has played 1 NHL game for the Sabres, but has recorded 25 points (8G, 17A) in the 42 AHL appearances he's had with the Rockford Americans.
