The Chicago Blackhawks have had a mess of a off-season, leaving fans in question and with a untrustworthy first impression of Kyle Davidsons so called 'rebuild plan''. Starting with the departure of Alex DeBrincat, and than Kirby Dach.

Now we have rumors of Kane not wanting to be apart of Davidsons rebuild idea, and Jonathan Toews has stated publicly he is not much of a fan of it either. Well, it seems as if another player is not a fan of this rebuild taking place, and has chosen to opt-out of it and announce his departure from the NHL, and will be heading overseas to continue his career..

Chicago Blackhawks and NHL veteran part ways, amid mutual interest between the player, and a European team.

The Swiss league's HC Davis, came to terms on a contract with forward, and NHL veteran - Brett Connolly.

The 30-year-old, Campbell River, British Columbia native was a sixth-overall selection in the 2010 NHL Draft. He was the heart and soul of the Rockford ice hogs, the Blackhawks minor league team and played a veteran role for the Blackhawks youth.

Connolly's career is highlighted by a Stanley Cup ring with the Washington Capitals, won after defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference final, before facing and beating the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017-18 NHL Stanley Cup final.
