According to Coyotes insider Craig Morgan, there was a trade proposal that would have saw a young player depart from the organization. But Chychrun refused to be traded to that one specific team.. can you imagine, refusing to leave the Coyotes? It must be bad, haha!
The Blue Jackets were pursuant of Chychrun, but the blueliners lack of interest, ultimately shut-down the possibility.
And if the reports weren't in-fact fruitful, perhaps this quote from Senators insider Bruce Garrioch, may provide some further information.
"The Columbus Blue Jackets thought they had a deal for Jakob Chychrun at the NHL draft," said Garrioch. "The deal fell through, I'm not really sure what happened there. But they felt they had a deal in place and the deal died."
Does Chychrun find a new team? And if not, does the rearguard cut-off all trade dialogue until the NHL trade deadline?
Tune-in to find out.
