BREAKING - Blackhawks Defenseman Officially Leaves Chicago: Signs With a New Team
The Chicago Blackhawks let a long list of players hit the free agent market Wednesday when the free agent window opened, Colin Delia, Dominik Kubalik, Erik Gustafsson, Calvin De Haan, Kevin Lankinen, Dylan Strome and more..
The fan base had a strong complaint last season as throughout the Blackhawks remaining 10 games, the Hawks continued to play there veteran defenseman even though the teams season was officially over. Meaning it was time to give their prospects quality playing time to prepare for the future within the upcoming rebuild, but the Blackhawks decided to play two aging costly defenseman, Calvin De Haan and Erik Gustafsson.
Erik Gustafsson has officially been signed by the Washington Capitals, and both fan bases reacted hilariously. Blackhawks fans were thrilled to have the defenseman leave, and Capitals fans were thinking... well, i will let you see for yourself.
It is good that the Blackhawks did not extend Gustafsson, it is now time for their youth to thrive and get the playing time they deserve.
