BREAKING: Chicago Blackhawks Top-Line Forward Out Long-Term With Significant Injury
It's been a tough week for the Chicago Blackhawks.
In the game against the Florida Panthers, Andreas Athanasiou sustained a lower-body injury that will keep him out long-term.
It has been reported that Athanasiou is listed as week-to-week and that he will miss a few games because of his injury.
As a result of the injury, he will miss considerable time and opportunities to play on Connor Bedard's top line with him, which is terrible news for the team as a whole.
The team had high expectations for him, but he only has four assists in 11 games and a minus-five rating.
As we look forward to Athanasiou's production jumping again, alongside Connor Bedard, we wish him a speedy and healthy recovery.
