BREAKING: Edmonton Oilers Goalie Says He's Leaving the NHL After This Season to go WHERE!?
The Edmonton Oilers have had quite the impressive season, going forty-three wins strong with twenty-seven losses- Mikko Koskinen having twenty-seven of those wins and only twelve losses.
Mike Smith contributed as well but only had sixteen wins with nine losses, not comparing to their consistent Mikko Koskinen.
The Oilers decided to ride with Mike Smith for the playoffs as well as this series 'the battle of Alberta'. Smith absolutely crapping the bed game one letting in two goals on two shots got a second chance game 2, and rebounded nicely with a Oilers win.
But where does Mikko Koskinen's part kick in? Is it only for when Mike Smith has those really bad for nights? It seems as Koskinen is done with the NHL, and has announced he'll be signing with HC Lugano in the Swiss National League next season as he is a unrestricted free agent in the NHL.
What a odd choice, clearly it is closer to home and more enjoyable for Mikko as the average paid skater/goaltender makes $200,000 dollars as the NHL average is $3,000,000 dollars.
