Reality hit the Chicago Blackhawks at the start of this season when the team went on a four game win streak beating the Detroit Red Wings, Seattle Kraken, Florida Panthers and and the San Jose Sharks in a dominating fashion with a score of 5-2. Keep in mind, that was early October, and since, the Blackhawks have only gotten two more wins in a span of nearly 25 days.
A few forwards who the Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson had no interest in keeping such as Dylan Strome, Alex DeBrincat, Kirby Dach and Dominik Kubalik are all excelling in their new organizations and are on pace to have career-high years (aside from DeBrincat, he has had a slow start).
With the departures, the Blackhawks brought in a few popular names around the NHL as temporarily ''fillers'', those fillers are Jack Johnson, Max Domi and Andreas Anthanasiou, who Kyle Davidson signed to one-year, cheap salary deals in hopes to flip them at the trade deadline.
Well, it appears the Blackhawks are not waiting until the trade deadline to try to flip them, more so Max Domi and Andreas Anthanasiou. NHL insider and reporter at the Daily Faceoff Frank Seravalli states that the Blackhawks are currently shopping the two forwards.
Seravalli also has both forwards in his ''Top 20 trade deadline acquisitions'' list, alongside some big-named players which means the Blackhawks are likely to make a quick buck off the two.
Value to help the Blackhawks rebuild will be key in the return that the Blackhawks receive for Domi or/and Anthanasiou, Kyle Davidson has done a great job at boosting their value with playing them on the top line alongside the Blackhawks best player, Patrick Kane.
Check out the stats of both this year, Domi and Anthanasiou are both on pace to have career-high point years.
