Toronto has been gutted with injuries.

The Leafs have so many problems right now. Austin Matthews' contract is up, Sheldon Keefe and Kyle Dubas's job in jeopardy.
It was announced that Morgan Reilly, Toronto defenseman, will go on LTIR with a knee injury. He joins other top defensemen TJ Brodie and Jake Muzzin on LTIR. In response to the injury, the Leafs had to waive veteran winger Wayne Simmonds.
The Toronto Maple Leafs need to make a move. Whether it's firing Sheldon Keefe or Kyle Dubas, or making a trade, preferably for a defenseman, or teaching Ilya Samsonov to stay in the net. Tempers are flaring and change is needed, there is no beating around that bush. Most importantly, they have to convince Austin Matthews to stay, and right now, they aren't doing a very good job.
The Blackhawks may have something to say about this. Seth Jones isn't leaving anytime soon. Caleb Jones has been under-performing and isn't that much money, additionally, he won't take much to very little at all, to trade for. Granted Jones isn't the best, but it may be an upgrade from what they are dealing with now.
The Blackhawks have been noted to be sellers at the deadline, Jake McCabe, Jared Tinordi, Jack Johnson and Caleb Jones are all defensemen who the Maple Leafs could very well look at.
