BREAKING: Marc-Andre Fleury Issues Statement on His Future in The NHL
In a recent interview with RDS, Marc-Andre Fleury provided an update on his playing future, suggesting that the upcoming 2023-24 season could be his last in the NHL.
While attending a charity golf event in Quebec, Fleury expressed his affinity for the Minnesota Wild, praising the team's camaraderie and competitive spirit. The 38-year-old goaltender, hailing from Sorel, Quebec, has built a legendary career and boasts impressive numbers, ranking third in all-time wins and 12th in shutouts.
«I really like Minnesota. It's a good group of guys and every night we have the chance to win games, which is important. It could also be my last year. I will try to take advantage of it as much as possible, »revealed the Quebecer during the Beauchemin-Fleury-Beauvillier-Aubé-Kubel Golf Classic which was presented at the Les Dunes club in Sorel-Tracy on Friday.
With three Stanley Cup championships and numerous accolades, including a Vezina Trophy, Fleury's induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame is almost certain, potentially as a first-ballot inductee in 2027 if he retires next spring.
