It's been a crazy weekend with the NHL draft in Montreal and the craziness continues next with the free agent frenzy.
One of the biggest names could be Calgary Flames pending unrestricted free agent Johnny Gaudreau. Gaudreau had a monster year racking up 115 points and the Calgary Flames are hoping to keep him in Calgary offering him a reported new contract with a $9.5 million dollar annual salary.
However Johnny Gaudreau has been linked to the Philadelphia Flyers for quite some time now and has yet to answer the Flames contract offer. We are now learning Gaudreau could be heading to the city of brotherly love. According to NHL insider Kevin Weekes.
During the first round of the NHL Draft last night, the ESPN broadcast wondered about the possibility of Gaudreau landing in Philadelphia, and Kevin Weekes simply answered "yes".
This would be huge for the Flyers after losing captain Claude Giroux at the trade deadline last season Gaudreau would bring in some star power.
