Blackhawk Has Complications Post Surgery
Blackwell's first season with the Chicago Blackhawks ended in disappointment. As a result of an injury that would require surgery, he began his off-season early.
As a result of his sports hernia surgery in March, he had to end his 2022-2023 season with the Hawks.
Colin Blackwell is absent because he still hasn't fully recovered from the sports hernia surgery he had in March, Luke Richardson said.
Blackwell's recovery time was initially supposed to be 12 weeks, but during pre-camp group skates he still didn't feel right. Since then, his recovery time was supposed to be 12 weeks, but it appears that it needs to be adjusted.
Since his sports hernia surgery, he has not fully recovered, and he ended up feeling unwell during pre-camp skating.
Perhaps Blackwell just needs some rest and relaxation, as it seems he hasn't fully recovered yet.
A Harvard product, the Blackhawks' player had 10 points in 53 games (two goals, eight assists).
