This Blackhawk missed a total of 16 games in a row due to a concussion.
Reese Johnson is 24 years old. His path to the NHL was different than most players. He went undrafted, but was signed by the Blackhawks in 2019 at the age of 20. Johnson currently has 2 goals and 4 assists, adding up to 6 points in just 48 games this season.
Reese is coming back after over a month of absence from the Blackhawks' lineup. Johnson suffered a concussion, but continued to play with one for three more games. How did he play three hockey games with a concussion? He didn't tell anybody he was feeling wrong. Johnson just went out and played, and thought nothing of it.
In his first two games back, after the doubleheader, Reese didn't tally any points but had somewhat of a physical side to his game.
