Wyatt Kalynuk is a 25 year old defenseman that the Blackhawks obtained the rights to before he could officially play a full season in the NHL, Kalynuk exceeded expectations in his NCAA University Hockey days having two-near point per game seasons on defence before the University of Wisconsin gave him the captain role for his final year, where then his rights were traded to the Blackhawks where he played half a season with the club before being sent down to the minors in Rockford to develop his game further. He never got a full shot at the NHL level with the Blackhawks but that seemed to be okay as the team is taking a full-rebuild approach, where a young defenseman like Kalynuk may get the chance in the future if he develops properly.

The Blackhawks did not give qualifying offers to many players such as Dylan Strome, Dominik Kubalik and defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk, Kalynuk's was a free agent and he did not last long at all before the Vancouver Canucks picked him up for free on the market.

For very little so time in the NHL, Kalynuk had some memorable moments to look back on; let's take a look..
