Despite the Chicago Blackhawks sitting 32nd in the NHL they decided they are going to have fun the rest of the season and play for each other, their fans and for pride, Seth Jones recently stated.
This is also a good time for the young players on the Blackhawks to try to impress management to possibly land a spot on the roster next season.
One player that made a huge impression last night was Blackhawks rookie Isaak Phillips. The young rookie would throw down with one of the toughest players on the St Louis Blues, Ivan Barbashev.
Phillips would take the loss in his first career fight but he earned the respect of Barbashev as well as the Blackhawks fan base.
Phillips would also get one assist with the Blackhawks picking up a 5-3 win over the Blues.
