Blackhawks head coach says Chicago has a developing Duncan Keith on their blue line
The Chicago Blackhawks hired a new coach this offseason and he seems to be the perfect fit, that coach is Luke Richardson who previously coached the Montreal Canadiens who went to the conference finals for the first time in nearly a decade.
Richardson has compared multiple Blackhawks players to former familiar and popular faces throughout the Blackhawks organization, one of two being Blackhawks prospect Samuel Savoie, his comparison? Andrew Shaw. Coach Richardson pointed out the two players gritty similarities.
Now Richardson is comparing Blackhawks defensemen Connor Murphy to the one and only Duncan Keith, who is arguably the best Blackhawks defensemen of all-time, Richardson is comparing the two in the ''strength and toughness'' factor. Murphy is coming off a severe injury from last season, as can be seen below.
Murphy has returned a year later and is now healthy, but has taken two pucks to the face in practice and warmup.
