The Chicago Blackhawks are experiencing a huge downturn as more players have been injured.

Two more players are joining the injured list, such as Taylor Hall, Seth Jones, and Andreas Athanasiou.

In addition to Foligno, the team will greatly miss the presence of All-Star rookie Connor Bedard.

As adversity continued to build, Bedard's teammate, Ryan Donato, was asked about the situation he and his teammates would face. He feels like the situation is unfortunate and hopes for the best for Foligno and Bedard.

In the face of multiple losses of teammates, such as Bedard, Donato stressed the next-man-up mentality.

He was placed on injured reserve close to 19 hours ago after being hit by Brendan Smith, resulting in a fractured jaw.

The Blackhawks will have to rely upon, Donato, Lukas Reichel, and Philipp Kurashev as the next set of forwards to keep the season moving.

"A couple of us are just sitting there talking about everything. We laugh, like, what else is there to do? It's just comical at this point that bodies just keep dropping for us and we can't catch a break. So like, what else do you do but laugh at it? This is just unbelievable, right?"

Bedard's absence will be felt on ice, as the injuries continue to mount.
