Tyler Motte hasn't had the most illustrious career, but he has found a role for himself on every team he has been a part of in their bottom six forwards. Motte only played in 9 games for the Rangers in the 2021-2022 season, but has found some success in the Senators lineup this season.

Motte has skated in 38 games for the Senators this season, scoring 9 points in the process. While Motte's numbers don't jump off of the score sheet, he did manage to have a +/- 1 on the season, which is the best he's accounted for since the 2021-2022 season. It has been reported that Tyler Motte has been traded once again.

Motte will be rejoining the New York Rangers, most likely in the same bottom six role he had when he played for them last season. Motte joins Vladimir Tarasenko as the Rangers two trades ahead of the trade deadline. Motte is on a one-year deal worth $1,350,000 a season, so this trade still allows the Rangers to possibly load up even more ahead of the deadline.

The Rangers sent Julien Gauthier and a 2023 conditional 7th round pick back to the Senators for Motte. Hopefully Motte can find some success playing for a contender and can force himself into the Rangers future plans with good play down the stretch.
