At the last night's game at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, the Calgary Flames defeated the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime. This game was quite exciting for a variety of reasons, but one in particular stands out. Nazem Kadri's comments towards the referee that earned him a 10-minute misconduct is gaining the most attention currently.
Many players should be aware that if you complain to the referee, whether it is appropriate or not, or if you call the official a "B****" as Kadri did last night, you will probably get penalized. It only takes a referee having a terrible day, or too reallt dislike youto give a 10-minute misconduct.
Before the puck even dropped in overtime, Kadri was given a 10-minute misconduct and was forced to leave the game:
Nazem Kadri got his 10 minute misconduct penalty for arguing with the refs. Darryl Sutter says he had already been warned.
Reportedly, Kadri called the referee a ''B****'', which resulted in this play leading to the 10-minute misconduct.
