If you can't beat em, beat em!
That seemed to be Reese Johnson's philosophy as he took on Montréal's Michael Pezzetta with 42.5 seconds left in a 4-0 game. Pezzetta had gotten a number of hits on players during the game, so Reese took it upon himself to help even at least one of the scores. He held his own for a while, getting in a couple decent kidney punches before being taken down to the ice.
Multiple players were lost throughout the game with injuries, no one scored, they're still missing their Captain, and the fighting was arbitrary.
The second fight of the night went just as bad after Connor Murphy dropped the Canadiens captain, and Josh Anderson took exception to it.
