Patrick Kane will officially be submitting his trade request on Wednesday when free agency opens up, via Blackhawks insider radio official.
Patrick Kane and his time in Chicago has been historical, he's went down as one of the best American players to ever be born and he's getting there statistically. Despite the Blackhawks struggles Kane continues to produce consistently and has been within top 20 league scoring point total for most of his NHL career.
Kane loves his duos, and it started with him and Toews- they were nearly unstoppable. Until it came time to spread them out and separate them to make lines more even, until Artemi Panarin came into the NHL and the two absolutely lit it up. And then Alex DeBrincat, all were traded away aside from Toews, Mark Lazarus Blackhawks insider reports Kanes frustration is at a all-time high, as expected.
Like almost all good things in Chicago as of late it did not last too long, Panarin was moved after a few dominant seasons with the Blackhawks due to the NHL's cap hit. Kane expressed his frustration towards Panarin's departure and anger showed in interviews after the trade. 24 year old Alex DeBrincat was moved after multiple 40-goal seasons on Kanes wing.
Alex DeBrincat has recently developed as one of the best wingers in Chicago and also Kane's new wing partner. Unfortunately the Blackhawks traded the cat as most would call him for a underwhelming return of the 13th overall pick in this years draft, most not knowing the affect this trade will have on Patrick Kane..
Upon hearing the news of DeBrincats departure, Kanes agent was asked "Does this affect Kane's future in Chicago?"... He responded "there will be no comments at this time". Now, it makes sense as he will be submitting his trade request on Wednesday.
Kane has expressed the likelihood of him signing in Chicago and it's a obvious decision if he is with his good buddy Alex DeBrincat, but the cat was just traded. It is sad, but all good things must come to a end- especially if you do not know how to treat your stars.
