Ahead of a two-game road trip to Edmonton and Seattle, the Chicago Blackhawks made some roster adjustments on Monday morning.
Filip Roos got the call-up from the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL, reinforcing the team's defensive lineup. In a corresponding move, the Blackhawks placed Jarred Tinordi on injured reserve with a concussion, backdated to December 5.
This decision suggests that Kevin Korchinski remains absent from the team due to a family matter, as he's been unavailable for the last two games. The Blackhawks are scheduled to face Edmonton on Tuesday and Seattle on Thursday.
The Blackhawks organizations AHL team, also recall goaltender Mitchell Weekes, and will be signing former Flyers forward Jackson Cates to a PTO (tryout contract).
Roos, 24, brings some extra defensive support with four points (one goal, three assists) in 16 games for the IceHogs this season, tying for the second-highest point tally among Rockford defensemen.
