Chinas Hockey Team Hit With The Worst Possible News..
The NHL season is officially over and now we have the World Juniors to watch that is under a week away from starting, top prospects around the country will represent their own country and battle it out for a gold medal, a huge tournament for non-drafted players to get exposure with teams like China, Canada, USA, Latvia, Russia and more participating.
Sadly, one team is already out..
The Chinese Ice Hockey Association has withdrawn its men's U20 and women's U18 teams from the upcoming IIHF tournaments due to the current
Covid-19 countermeasures and quarantine rules in the country.
China expects to have its national teams back for the next season.
The 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division I1 Group B in Belgrade will now be played from 12 to 17 September with five teams: host Serbia, the
Netherlands, Croatia, Belgium and Iceland.
The 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women's World Championship Division I Group B in Radenthein will also be played with five teams from 6 to 11 September: Denmark, host Austria, Korea, Poland and China.
