Claude Giroux Embarrasses Jonathan Quick and Scores Overtime Winning Goal
Many fans had differing views after the Philadelphia Flyers traded longtime captain Claude Giroux; some were glad for Giroux and others were happy to see him go.
No matter how you feel about the former Flyers captain, you have to admire his ability on the ice, as seen by the game-winning goal he scored for the Ottawa Senators last night in overtime:
Flyers fans may find this goal similar to one they have seen before..
It certainly is one the NHL has seen before, Giroux performed the same stunning manoeuvre just nine months ago when he was a Flyer and was invited to the NHL All-Star game:
G is on track to surpass his career-high goal total over the course of his 17 seasons in the NHL; his best came in 2017 with the Flyers, when he netted 34 goals in 82 games. This season, in only 21 games, Giroux has already scored 9, so keep it up, G!
