BREAKING: Star Player Out Until Further Notice With Severe Injury
Aleksander Barkov is one of the best, if not the best, players on the Panthers roster. He currently has 18 points (5 G, 13 A) in 19 games so far this season.
Unfortunately, Barkov will continue to be out of the lineup for multiple games as he continues to deal with his illness, according to George Richards and Blades of Steel.
We don't know what the exact illness is, but is most definitely could be the flu. Blackhawks forward, Jason Dickinson, had the flu and missed a few games after losing 7-8 pounds.
One thing that makes this situation even worse for the Panthers is that they are struggling with cap space. They are currently playing with less forwards because they don't have the cap space to bring someone up while Barkov is still on the payroll.
The Panthers need Barkov as they have struggled immensely without Barkov in the lineup. They are a solid team and Barkov is a massive piece of that.
