As Connor Bedard, the first overall pick in the NHL draft, readies himself for his debut with the Chicago Blackhawks, he's seeking guidance from some of the game's biggest stars. However, he recently found himself on the receiving end of unsolicited and inappropriate advice from former NHL player Cam Janssen.

Cam Janssen, a retired NHL player with stints in both the AHL and NHL, co-hosts the "Cam and Strick" podcast alongside Andy Strickland. In a segment from their podcast, Janssen suggested that Bedard should seek the company of an older woman, commonly referred to as a "cougar," to handle his daily needs and personal desires.

These inappropriate comments immediately drew widespread criticism and were deemed disrespectful and offensive by many. Although the segment was eventually deleted from the podcast, a recording found its way onto social media platforms, further fueling outrage.

Cam Janssen, now 39 years old, boasts a professional career that includes 336 NHL games split between the New Jersey Devils and St. Louis Blues. Despite his experience in the hockey world, his remarks about Bedard's personal life were unwelcome and considered highly inappropriate.
