Deepened tragedy strikes NHL superstar
Dylan Larkin, captain of the Detroit Red Wings, and his wife Kenzy have just suffered the ultimate loss.
Taking the risk of sharing the news on social media after losing their unborn child was risky.
He would miss two games, in the midst of a flood of tributes on social media from NHL fans.
Tonight, he is undoubtedly playing with a wounded heart against the Montreal Canadiens.
This week my wife and I said goodbye to our baby. It's hard to find words or positivity in this, but we greatly appreciate your support and understanding, and thank you for respecting our privacy.
There's hope eventually for Larkin, that time heals all wounds, but no one heals the same as another person.
Our sympathies go out to the Larkin family during this difficult time.
Dylan Larkin has played 8:22 TOI tonight, taken 1 penalty, and has a 45.5% FO percentage in his short time back with the team.
