Devastating Update on NHL Legend, Borje Salming
As you may have heard, longtime NHL defenseman and Hall of Famer, Borje Salming, is in a very tough battle with ALS.
His health was declining rapidly, but was able to be cleared to fly to Toronto for Hall of Fame festivities.
Well, shortly after, the rapid decline of his health continued and Salming is struggling with the disease mightily.
It is not just Salming we need to feel for, as we also need to understand what his wife is going through.
According to Hockey Feed, Salming's wife, Pia, received an award on Borje's behalf recently.
When speaking out, she said, "We are not doing this anymore." It is believed that this was in reference to the public appearances.
With Borje's health declining rapidly, it is important for them to spend time with family, rather than making public appearances. You can't blame Pia for feeling this way.
It has been an emotional rollercoaster lately, especially when Salming received an NHL award recently. You can see how emotional he was in this video:
