Dylan Larkins Future in Detroit: is his time over?
After much speculation in "Hockey Town" that the Detroit Red wings would move on from Captain Dylan Larkin Redwings fans can breath a little a sigh of relief.
Sportsnet Insider Elliotte Freidman shared Dylan Larkins camp are wanting a long term deal for him to stay in Detroit.
Freidman states, «Detroit is not willing to do long term deals unless they think of that player as a building block». Which seems to be a barrier between both sides and definitely will be once Dylan Larkin is in need of a new contract which is just one year away.
Larkin is currently on a $6.1 million dollar contract which will expire after this upcoming season, a large pay grade will be needed as Larkin has showed zero signs of slowing down and only seems to have progressed.
Larkin was drafted by the Red Wings in the 2014 NHL draft 15th overall. Last season Larkin scored 31 goals and 38 assists in 71 games. Larkin has also played in 504 games all with Detroit racking up a total of 358 points.
