Eddie Olczyk Gets Extremely Emotional When Speaking on Departure With Blackhawks
Eddie Olczyk and the Chicago Blackhawks sadly parted ways after nearly thirty plus years of Eddie being in the organization, whether that was on the broadcasting team or actually playing for the Chicago Blackhawks in his early days.
It was stated that the Blackhawks could not come to a agreement with Olczyk on a new contract as his expired right when the legendary voice of Pat Foley retired, right after this past season. Olczyk was well respected by the Hawks fan base and players, but he will be taking his talents to the Seattle Kraken, and it will be with his son Nick in the Kraken broadcast booth.
The Kraken are sure lucky to have the Olczyk duo doing commentating for the new franchise. Olczyk recently spoke out on his last moments in Chicago, and got a little emotional while doing so.
''Not in a 100 years i thought i would not be a Blackhawk'' listen to the full interview below.
