As the Edmonton Oilers play the Chicago Blackhawks tonight, let's take a moment to remember an incident from many years ago, that diehard Blackhawks fans will not forget.
Glen Sather, who was the Oilers' General Manager at the time, shared a funny story in an interview on TSN.
When asked about Blackhawks fans and the lively atmosphere in their arena back in the day, Sather gave a straightforward response. He stated that the crowd had a rowdy vibe, and it was because Hawks fans used to drink a lot, making it tough for visiting teams.
During his time as General Manager, Sather played a crucial role in the Oilers' successful years, winning the Stanley Cup five times and the President's trophy twice.
Sather is still involved in hockey, working as a senior advisor to the New York Rangers.
